WALL STREET EYES RECON 3.0 | POLITICO Influence

The Great American Health Alliance, a lobbying group backed by companies that manage health savings accounts, is launching a six-figure ad campaign next week to press Trump and GOP lawmakers to expand access to the tax-free accounts in a party-line budget bill, our colleague Amanda Chu reports for Pros. The group is also lobbying lawmakers and leveraging support at think tanks over the next few weeks.

— The alliance is pushing Republicans to include Rep. Eric Burlison’s (R-Mo.) Great American Healthcare Plan — which is modeled after Trump’s Great Healthcare Plan — in a filibuster-proof budget reconciliation bill. The legislation would open up health savings accounts for all Americans, increase the level for contributions and allow tax-free account purchases of healthy food and wellness products like vitamins.
